Networking, educating, communicating – participation of Łódź minorities
In October 2021, we started a project funded by a grant from the Active Citizens Fund – National program, financed by the EEA Funds. The project partners are: the Central Roma Council in Poland, the Roma Advisory and Information Center and the City of Łódź.
The project aims to develop urban participatory policy with active involvement of representatives of minorities and migrant groups, in cooperation with the City of Łódź.
Planned activities include mobilizing individuals from minority groups for civic participation and self-advocacy, as well as broader educational activities aimed at residents of Łódź.
What have we planned for the two-year duration of the project?
regular meetings of the Łódź of Diversity Coalition
support group meetings for individuals from minority groups
consultations for minorities by minorities
self-advocacy training for individuals from minority groups
expert training on intercultural differences for officials, law enforcement, and school management
creation of “A Book of Contacts and Good Practices”
implementation of an educational and informational campaign in the Łódź voivodeship
